Good documentation empowers users to understand and get the best out of the system without having to go to costly experts.
Walstan’s documentation philosophy is that most information is based on data, and primary documentation is found at the source of the data.
This removed the temptation to describe full meaning of data in one of more of the places it is shown, never to be found again.
Function documentation then refers back to the original source.
This also means that if the function of data is expanded, its description is changed once, and is available wherever it is used.
