Each Beacon file has a UniVerse data dictionary, with extensions for Beacon for Business.
For each file, there is a dictionary item for each field.
There are additional dictionary items for interpreted items, including:
data from other files (e.g. customer name, part description)
calculated data (e.g. invoice total, number of lines)
As interpreted items can call subroutines, the information which can be associated with files and available to users is effectively unlimited.
